Session and weekly caps are distinct
Official documentation describes five-hour session limits and weekly limits. Max can also have a separate model-specific weekly cap. Recovery of one window does not imply all windows recover together. Follow your account Usage page and client display.
Check the account and usage
Confirm that Claude Code uses the intended Pro or Max account. The official guidance identifies /status for monitoring remaining allocation. Interfaces can differ by client version, so reconcile the display with account usage and recovery times.
After reaching a limit
Wait for recovery or check whether official usage credits are enabled. Switching to Console pay-as-you-go is a separate billing path, not a free recovery of the subscription allowance.
